ÓKEI... ég bara verð að fá settið í miðjunni! Er endalaust lengi búin að vera að leita að setti og þetta er fullkomið. Þægilegt en samt öðruvísi.

BIG SILVER

Stórir og áberandi skartgripir voru, eru og verða alltaf það besta til þess að lífga upp á einföld outfit.
Utanlandsferðin í sumar var til Nice í frakklandi og fengu þar tvö mikil silfur hálsmen að koma með heim.

 Big and bold accessories were, are and always will be the best choice when it comes to bringing life to a simple outfit.
This summers vacation was to Nice in France and there I got these two silver necklaces which got to come home with me.

Seinna hálsmenið fann ég í lítilli búð í bænum Saint paul de vence. Búðin var full af endalaust mismunandi skarti og aðeins eitt af hverju. 100% eftirminnilegasta búðin.

                   

The second one I found in a small boutique in the town Saint paul de vence. The store was full of endless varieties of jewellery and only one of each. 100% the most memorable store.

Varaliturinn sem ég er með á myndunum heitir "Absolute lasting liquid lipstick" frá Deborah og er besti varaliturinn sem ég hef átt hingað til. Þú lætur hann á þig einu sinni og hann helst þá bara á. Þarft ekkert að pæla í því að laga hann nema bara að bera glæra glossinn yfir ef þú kýst það.

The lipstick I'm wearing on the pictures is called "Absolute lasting liquid lipstick" from Deborah and it is the best lipstick I've had so far. You apply it once and it just stays that way. You don't have to worry about fixing it, just have to apply more gloss if you choose so.

Efri liturinn er sá sem ég er með á myndunum að ofan, með gloss vs ekki gloss.

Neðri liturinn er hin týpan af varalitnum sem ég valdi mér og er meiri hugsaður sem hversdags.

ON MY MIND

Now is the time when every store around you has their summer sale, and of course, the one thing you have been looking at forever has a great discount so you have to bring it home with you.

Every time I see something I like I put together an outfit in my mind to see if buying it is the right choice, so now when I was going over the online sales I found a lot of things I liked so, of course, I put up some outfits.

This one is perfect for a day at work, comfortable yet stylish.

About 3 weeks ago I went to the summer festival "Secret solstice" which really influenced this outfit. The jacket is definitely on my list a.t.m, unless it's not oversized... then it's off the list.

The outfit somehow evolved around the jacket because it's so unique the rest had to be pretty basic. The sunglasses  I bought a week ago and they are the perfect ones because they go with everything from an oversized furry winter vest to a bright coloured silk shirt. You can get them HERE.

Icelandic.

Núna er tíminn þar sem allar búðir í kring um þig byrja með sumar útsölurnar sínar, og auðvitað, þá er eina flíkin sem þú ert búin að vera að horfa  á á góðum afslætti þannig þú verður að taka hana með heim.

Alltaf þegar ég sé eitthvað sem mig langar í þá set ég saman outfit til að sjá hvort að kaup á hlutnum væri rétta ákvörðunin, þannig núna þegar ég var að fara yfir netútsölurnar þá fann ég nokkra hluti sem mér leist á þannig, auðvitað, setti ég saman nokkur dress.

Mynd 1:

Fyrsta outfit-ið er fullkomið fyrir dag í vinnunni, þægilegt en á sama tíma stílhreynt.

Mynd 2:

Fyrir sirka 3 vikum síðan þá fór ég á útihátíðina "Secret Solstice" sem hafði frekar mikil áhrif á þessa samsetningu. Jakkinn er algjörlega kominn á listann hjá mér núna, nema hann sé ekki í yfir stærð... þá er hann farinn af listanum.

Mynd 3:

Þetta dress byggðist upp í kring um jakkann af því hversu öðruvísi hann er og því þurfti restin að vera frekar klassísk. Sólgleraugun keypti ég mér fyrir um viku síðan og eru þau  fullkomin því þau fara með öllu frá allt of stóru loðvesti til silkiskirtu í ýktum lit. Þú getur keypt þau HÉR.

NEW - VOLUSPA

On my way home from work the other day I stopped by a shop called "Aftur" where they were selling a candle line called "Völuspá".

I have seen them before in many places but never gotten to buying myself one.

The scent I chose is so amazing I just had to write about it. The candle itself is made purely from fragranced coconut wax and is extremely beautiful to look at once lit.

Á leiðinni heim úr vinnunni um daginn þá kom ég við í búðinni "Aftur" á Laugaveginum þar sem þau selja kertalínu sem heitir "Völuspá".

Ég hef séð þau víða en ekki komist í það að kaupa eitt sjálf.

Lyktin sem ég valdi er svo rosalega góð að ég varð að skrifa um hana. Kertin sjálf eru búin til út lyktaðu kókos vaxi og eru þau mjög falleg þegar kveikt er á þeim.

CRAZY COAT LADY

Like I have told you before I am obsessed with long coats, so it shouldn't come to any surprise that I just bought a new one.

What I love about a coat is that you could be wearing pyjamas and throw on a coat and automatically have an acceptable outfit. I only have dark coloured coats so I thought it was time to bring in a summer colour (kind of).

Eins og ég hef sagt ykkur áður þá er ég rosalegur sökker þegar það kemur að síðum kápum þannig það ætti ekki að koma á óvart að ég hafi endað á því að kaupa eina í viðbót.

Það sem ég elska við kápur er það að þú gætir verið á náttfötunum, skellt yfir þig kápu og sjálfkrafa verið komin með fullkomið outfit. Ég á bara dökkar kápur svo mér fannst kominn tími til að bæta við einni í sumarlegum lit (nokkurskonar).

CRUSHING ON INTERIOR

The best thing to do to get your head turning and ideas rolling is to change the things in your room. When I go to sleep after changing the things around me I always feel so peaceful and happy about the result of my ideas. Therefore I am constantly looking for new ways to change my room or new ways to use old things. For example, last year I painted most of the furniture in my room white and it made a lot of difference and made all the other things stand out.

 

Big plants in a bohem space are beautiful. I am really longing for a plant in my room, brings it to life.

 
  

The clothing rack is a great and easy idea, just some pipes and screws and voila!

SAYING GOODBYE TO 2015

 I had a really good time in 2015.

I turned 19,

Went to Boston with my mom and my sister and had a great time enjoying each others company .

Went to Reykjavik Fashion Festival N°6 and saw designs from couple of Icelands greatest designers.

Saw Mø, Kelis, Gusgus and many others at Secret Solstice festival.

Went to to London with 2 amazing friends ,for a week, mainly to go to the Wireless festival in Finsbury Park where I saw Drake, David Guetta, Kendrick Lamar, Avicci and many others.

Celebrated my sister turning 30!

Saw a lot of great artists at Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik, for example Sophie and QT.

So as you can see I really enjoy going to music festivals and hearing music from new artists, I don't think theres anything more fun than going to a good concert with good company and enjoying life together. Thank god I have amazing friends and family to enjoy all of this with.

PICTURES THAT MADE 2015

I want to thank everyone for this great year and tell you that I could not be more excited about the next one.

Like I told you in my last post, I got my head filled with ideas and can't wait to bring them to life. I have been drawing a lot of my designs lately and have begun buying fabrics and sowing so after some time I will begin posting them and ,in the mean time, I hope you'll enjoy the blog!

THINKING DIFFERENT

I always turn my head when I see someone trying something different when it comes to clothes or accessories. It takes guts when it comes to changing fashion and that's not something everybody is willing to do.

If you have a plain or basic outfit try making it different with a bold jacket or eye catching accessories.

Something that is basic in fashion now was once something that people gasped about.

The hair rings were a new trend in 2015 and I'm hoping they will continue into 2016. Also, lace bras I can promise you will keep on going this year.

I bought couple (not to many though!) of long white t-shirts in the past few months and they are a must have. Shirts that go over my back side are my favourites and if you are a girl and do not have that same opinion than GO YOU!

Again with the long white t-shirt, goes with anything, and the bold jacket. The statement on the back of the jacket gives the outfit a different look and also a good bomber jacket is something that everyone should own at least one of.

The sneaker trend was big in 2015 but I'm seeing a lot of black thick heeled shoes going around now. Also Dr.Martens are coming back and I am dreaming of a pair of black leather Dr.Martens shoes (hint: my birthday is in 21 days).

Yes, plain but different outfits are the best outfits. Try a edgy colour with statement jewelry or shoes, and besides, a good pair of ripped high MOM jeans can't fail.
